The new "Making Home Affordable" Initiative is a good start, but is it really a good deal for homeowners? NO!  The real estate market is going to continue to slide, and if you agree to what is on the table, you could be short changing yourself.  There are law firms that will take your loan modification on contingency, and only charge you if they can do better!
